Mare
Born and raised in Dubrovnik, stone and sea have put a spell on her.
She lived abroad and got to travel around, but eventually the spell of the sea got her back. Mare is a person to have with you if you're looking for an adventure on sea - she spent a lot of time in kayak, and is an experienced skipper who loves to sail where the wind takes her. She knows the bays, cliffs and beaches of the area like her pocket.
Like a true Mediterranean she will give you excellent recommendations for fresh sea food and good local wine.
Her hidden secret is that she reads a lot, so offer her some wine and start a conversation about Dubrovnik's past and present.
Good to know: Both Mare and Zeljka are avid rock climbers (Mare enjoys deep water solo too), so whether you've tried rock climbing before, or are an absolute beginner - don't miss the chance to have a once in a lifetime experience climbing the Dubrovnik rocks.
How to get to the Tea Party House Dubrovnik
From main bus station in Gruž:
Continue walking in the same direction as the bus until you get to the zebra crossing (open sea on your right). Cross the road and continue through a short road.
Turn right at the end and follow this street until you get to the small square with parked cars.
Second street on the right is Ivana Matijasevica. Find no 6 and you are there. (5 min walk)
From the airport:
Exit the bus at Pile square which is the western entrance to the Old Town. From here you can either walk or take local bus. If you walk turn your back to the Old Town and follow the main road. It goes uphill. After about 5 min you will get to the place where you can see open sea to your left. Across the road there are steps. That little street is called "Orsatova ulica". Go up the steps and at the top turn left and at the end of the street turn right. Now you are in my street “Ivana Matijasevica” find no 6 and you are there. (30 min drive from the airport and 10 min walk to the house)
If you take local bus from Pile square
Find number 6 and that is it. (3 min walk)
