The garden was a favorite place for Aunt Rina and Aunt Mitzy where they held tea parties during sunny and warm days with their family and friends. They chatted about events in the city, about art, music, politics, travel, hobbies and many other things that were happening at the time.
Today, the garden is still lively and filled with members of the tea party house.
Mare likes to prepare a barbecues for friends and she likes to plant vegetables such as tomatoes, zucchini and peppers.
Rorryk the dog, likes to sleep on the sunny parts on the grass all day and he thinks that bacon is growing in the bush.
Cats love tall grass and bushes where they can hide, hunt and play.
Each season brings an interesting change, so spring brings flowers like daffodils and hyacinths, and summer brings rosemary, our favorite spice when we prepare fish and sage when we want tea.
From July to October grapevine makes a beautiful decoration and shade at the entrance to the garden.
Mare's grandfather planted palm trees and two different species of orange trees, so from late September to February, the garden is full of oranges!
So, everyone loves a garden, our little private oasis for relaxation!
